I'm from NC in College basketball country, I don't really follow basketball so I'm not a fan of NC State, UNC, or Duke. I would like to get into college football though, but it seems the ACC is pretty much a basketball conference. I'm from southeastern NC, 2 hours from Raleigh, 4 hours from Columbia, University of South Carolina. I'm not real sure who I should root for, should I choose a NC team or pull for South Carolina, since they are in the SEC, which I've is one of the best football conferences?

I'm thinking about NC State, Clemson, and South Carolina. Also, I'm in the Army stationed in KS just 15 minutes away from Kansas State, so that could be an option too, only thing is is will I be able to watch the games when I get out of the Army and move back to NC? Should I stick with a hometown team? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Just watch ball man... Just watch ball... Cheer for Army, cheer for South Carolina, cheer for NC State... They're all in difference conferences. You'll almost never get televised games of "your team" every week.
