Kelly and just a JR., is just a few receiving yds. away from breaking OU's former and now Raven's Sensation, Mark Clayton OU's School Record! What is the excitment about? DeMarcos Murray, '05 Natn'l #1 HS RB. He is now at OU and joined Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds is a old HS teamate of Murray. Reynolds was the #14 Natn'l HS LB in '05. Murray was USC's #1 pick and Reynolds was USC's #9 pick for recruits in '05. Reynolds was straight forward and committed early to OU but Murray was headed to USC until his GPA was throwing him to JC. During that time, USC got cold and slow for attetion to him. Just about that time, OC/Coiach Kevin Wilson showed up and the rest is history! MUrray rushed for 109 yds. last night in just nine carries! Three straight 5, 65 and 7 yd'ers! He caught the first offensive pass TD of the evening. Murray's Vert/Lat/40 is more and faster than either AD or Reggie Bush! Murray said the all returning OL for OU was outstanding in blocking! OL avg. 315 lbs. this season and seve D-men return as well. Remember OU's defense was the best D-Point leader in the Big XII this year!-wagon
One more thing if I may, Reynolds now a So., is so fast and electrifying at WLB, they are comparing him to All-American and OU's former WLB, Teddy Lehman. Reynolds had two KO's in HS on RBs! JC transfer Mike Reid, Natn'l #1 JC/LB is now there. Making a big impact and could pose a structure to be considered the best LB/Core in the Big XII this season! Reid has two KO's in JC ranks!...no joke, hard hitters, this is going to be something!
Marcus Granger, OU's DT at 6'3"/300 lbs/4.6/40, has to stay out of trouble, lat to practice one day. He is compared to Tommie Harris, a bit bigger than Harris and 1/10 less on the 40 but Top DL in '05 in Texas in HS! Another steal from Mack!:whistling:
wagon, if your on the board anymore, pop in and respond to me. my buddy scott has rental property there in Norman. he has a son that played for navy. long story short, he sent me pictures of he and his son Brandon at memorial stadium in norman. got to see the sooner team practice one night last week. they have gone back to thousand oaks since. they said that they got to watch the sooners last year this time. good news, since you know scott has coached hs ball for many years. he said that the team is so much better than last year. more advanced, strengthened and across the board the talent is twice as good. extremely faster and definitely, better schematics!-CoT

:angry-smiley-055: Last night I got some news that Allen Patrick is still tender on the ankle. With Heisman hopes, they are keeping out of the game. It was reported that Chris Brown, last year's sensation (Somewhere around 49 minutes of play and 343 ypc to his name), was suspended for one game due to team policy. So what does that mean? You got it, DeMarcos Murray will get the knod to start against the Green Machine, N. Texas St., Saturday. Coach Gundy isn't worried as we are five deep @ RB. Except this young man has already with little ball time has established two 100+ ypc. in scrimmages. They were hoping to keep him kind of out of the media's eye. With Allen and Chris doing amazing things themselves. DeMarcos has in one scrimmage, 9 carries for 109 yds. and in another 4 carries for 103 yds.! He more explosive than either of the two ahead of him but they were wanting to keep him for a combinations of different attack schemes through the season. I think that will still happen, it is just that he will be recognized by the media "Sooner" than expected! Wagon
Wait until everyone sees multiple attack schemes with the WRs, RBs and TEs. In sucessional series. Moving the chains?...Huh! More like stretch the "D" and score! Fast! Fresh players like a loaded machinegun! No joke this Sam Bradford can throw and @ 6'5"/220lbs., he can see the field. The RBs, are going to be fresh as needed! WATCHOUT!!!!!
OU has looks really good so far this season. I can't wait for the showdown in Dallas.
I thought before the year that DeMarco Murray was gonna be pretty special, he has such great speed.
Yeah, he does. He went from HS of a 4.5 to 4.4 while at the end of OU spring! Allen Patrick is a 4.35 guy and Chris Brown is supposed to have eclipsed a true 4.3, one time on clock, with pads!...? DeMarco's field vision is the best and is what seperates him from the others, with all due respect to the other RBs! They are all top notch!Who knows but your right and our RBs are just having fun...a luxery of Bob Stoops and the OU Sooners! We are just skilled and loaded everywhere.
