I simply disagree with you. Again, as far as his injuries go, maybe the Patriots know something about the injuries we don't. He has proven that he is a good CB, and CBs are hard to come by this year. It doesn't hurt to have the extra depth, and 1.3 million is pennies, when the average of the top 3 is around 7.85 million. If his hamstring injury is better, then it will pay huge dividends. Stats can be deceiving. The fact that he only played in 5 disbursed games, and 2 games the last two years shows that he really never got a chance to get back into rhythm. Its a gamble, but I think one worth taking. I'm sure Belichick wouldn't have done it if he didn't feel reasonably confident that the injuries of the past few years wouldn't affect his future too much.

I couldn't say it better myslef. His performance in 2004 was amazing.
