we have our new back up rb in Sammy Morris from the dolphins .and the pats also made a offer to Wes welker a receiver also from Miami .the dolphins have seven days to match the offer or receive a second round pick from the patriots .i like both moves .some might say a second rounder for welker is high but when you consider the pats have 12 picks and two first rounders i think its a good move to get a proven receiver that can also return kick offs and return punts. hes a very good possession receiver with excellent speed.anybody who watched the pats play the dolphins this year knows what I'm talking about .he was a royal pain in the ***.

I'm not sure about Sammy Morris. I was hoping they'd pick up another veteran with experience. But who is really available that is worth the price. I like Welker too. With Dillon gone, and Maroney the starting RB, they won't be able to use him on special teams anymore. Welker is a great kickoff returner. And hes a pretty good receiver to boot. He should thrive in the Patriots system. Now we just wait to see if the Dolphins realize his value. Will they think he is worth more than 38 million for 7 years. That probably matters how much of that is guarenteed... as far as I can tell, that information hasn't been released to the public.

I'm hearing that because the Patriots were willing to give up the 7th round draft pick too, they got Welker for a lot less money than they would have otherwise. Does anyone know the details of this deal? Thanks.
