I thought he was inducted off of what he did in the NFL?

Yeah he did, I was trying to make a point out of it but I think I did a bad job

Basically Flutie doesn't deserve IMO to go to Canton off of what he did in the CFL, he was average at best as an NFL QB.

even if he was average in the NFL the HOF is the FOOTBALL hall of fame, not the NFL hall of fame. Flutie won was great in the CFL and was very good for a couple of years in the NFL. Lets not forget his famous hail mary. I say he deserves to get in.

It says FOOTBALL HOF but it is JUST for the NFL. The CFL has it's HOF and he may very well be inducted there but not in Canton. Same with Arena and NFLE IMO

Flutie did kick butt in canada, 6 mvps, 6600 yds passing in once season, but in canton he does not belong, 44,000 of his 58,000 passing yards came in the CFL 80% of his TD's came in the CFL, his NFL stats are weak, He avg. like 170 yds a game passing. WEAK. Warren Moon had like 50,000 passing yards in the NFL and darn near 300 TD's to flutie's 86 TD's and 14,000 passing yards. Flutie is nothing like Warren Moon.

Now, I'm not taking away from his talent or heart or anything, I just don't think he belongs with NFL greats

This is one of the only times I will ever agree with Skip Bayless. He does belong in the Hall of Fame, but he won't get it. He isn't an NFL great, but he was a great football player. Unfortunately most of it was college and CFL.
When he got a shot in the NFL he was very good though.

I agree...Only his play in the NFL should count towards consideration for the Hall of fame and his #'s aren't anywhere near where they need to be for consideration.
