They will not just roll over and give it away. The Dolphins will certainly have to earn it, but at least now they're in the conversation. The Pats will be strong again this season. Dolphins are in for a street fight. It should be fun to watch.

i agree with Ellis the Pats always find WRs, so Branch holding out isn't the biggest deal. However, Branch is a Super Bowl MVP so it's not like their just losing an average WR.

Hence why he deserves an contract extension with a raise for the final year of his rookie contract.

i get that he isn't making that much money, but i hate it when players hold out. He should just go out and have another great season and cash in next season when his contract runs out.

That's what everyone said about Javon Walker last season right? He did do the right thing, and he came very close to never getting that big payday and ending his career. That's why I don't have a problem with a guy like Branch or Walker looking for that first payday....but guys like T.O., Moss, Egde I agree, shut up and play.

i disagree, people like TO and Moss are what make their teams run. Without them the teams would struggle. The Pats could still be competative without Branch, so i think he needs to just shut up and play. It may not be fair, but that is the way it is.

I do not think that TO and Moss are that valuable any longer. Both are getting old. TO will be used in a ball control offense, which means less touches for him and shorter routes. If he can live with that, the Cowbows made a great deal. If not, the Cowboys could finish last in the NFC East.

Moss has been relegated to a deep threat only. I question his guts to catch the ball across the middle of the field. I also question his heart. He seems to be more of a "me first" guy than even TO. The Raiders are just wasting their money on him. He will be good for a few highlight reel catches, but not much more.

Either way, these two alleged "superstars" have never won a superbowl game. They have played in a total of 1. Let's see some results before we go declaring them the saviors of their teams.

i meant they made their teams run early in their career. When TO was nearing his end with the niners he was all they had. As for Moss he was the Vikings only real offensive weapon. Sure Daunte was good, but Moss made him great. Back then they deserved the money. Branch will barely be missed he can wait a year and then cash in. Branch has no right to hold out.
