He was hoping he would be able to force the Patriots into trading him, or that some team would be stupid enough to make an offer to the Pats that would make it worth them trading him. Then he would have gotten his payday. It was a big gamble on his part... one that I don't think had much of a chance of benefiting him. Hopefully there is some truth to the rumor that he was keeping himself in shape, or this could be a short season for him, and then he really loses... as do the Patriots.

Totally agree the front 7 are what makes this team and it was there play that gave Samuel the opportunity to get 10 interceptions.

No doubt. The DL was ridiculous, not to mention our blitzes destoryed teams. It's only going to get worse now that we got Adalious Thomas.
