I agree that branch in mn would be good for the vikings, but I am unsure of who they would be able to trade for him that would spark the pats' interest. also, a week isn't a whole lot of time - this could mean one of two things, IMO: 1) they have no intention of really trading him, or 2) they have already been talking to teams themselves about a trade, and might even have gone the step further and given him a list of teams they could "suggest" would be interested.

if the second option is true, the pats could already have a deal in mind with a couple teams. it'd just be up to branch to decide where to go.

His perfect fit would be the EAGLES or the BEARS, minny as well, but BJ couldn't make the throws to exploit his talents. Anyway the pats would not trade him to an AFC opponent and also have stated that it would take a #1 pick to get him and no team is going to give that up. PERIOD. He isn't going anywhere right now.

I think they are definatly just calling his bluff. It said on espn that they offered him 3 yrs 18.5 million, he has no business turning that down he's not worth more than that. I think that by letting him seek a trade, they will let him see that no one else will really give him the money he wants so maybe he'll come back and sign.

Marshall Faulk was talking about this on NFL Network. Just like he said, he could go to the Eagles. Branch would make the WR core much better. I know the Eagles would do anything to pull a deal off for Branch.
