I am suprised you mentioned colts ... last against the titans they racked up 43 pts accepted but no one sees that TN even being harassed put up 24 pts. I am not sure what is great about a defence that cannot hold tenesse back.Again good defence and decent offence colts are going get blown away.
Broncos are barely scraping through higher INT but they have not been against a team that will put the nail down on INT....
steelers and bengals are 2 teams i will watch for but then again once in the playoff you never know which team is going to get it on a given day.

if the pats make it to the playoff i will be happy this year reason a QB needs WR and it will take time to get on the same page .The funny thing is they have alot of games to get this down before the playoff...

btw, due to trade and sucn the pats have 13 draft picks including 2 first rounders next year. Also , apoint to note when the pats won the sb in 01 they were one of the oldest[avg age] team in NFL in the upper 30`s...now this year it is 26 yrs .They have gotten younger and please explain how keeping a team winning a division and getting to playoff everyyear - 2 sb to boot the pats got younger and hence doomed.

The Patriots were great for 4 years and that is a good, long run. The thing is that Miami isn't that great so unless their is a suprise team in the East then the Patriots could still make the playoffs. It should be a close race between Maimi and New England. Whats funny is that my neighbor who moved here from Boston thinks the Patriots are the class of the NFL but that Tom Brady isn't that great. I don't understand, the biggest reason they are still good, not great but good, is because of Tom Brady.
I completely agree. The Jets are that surprise team to stop them lol. Who knows? It could happen. Probably not, but tey're passing game is too weak to beat the good teams in the AFC.

The Pats are still the class of that division, and altho they have lost a step compared to some of the other AFC teams, they are still a relevent team in that conference. They are 2-1 and havent hit their stride yet, and they lost to a good Denver team, that seemed to hit its stride. People make way too much about them "not having WR's", but in the forth quarter of the Denver game it seemed like Brady and Gabriel were developing some chemestry between the two of them. And I think Troy Brown still has enough left in the tank to make plays for them this season. He may be old, but those old WR's know how to run their routes, and where they need to be. I say the Pats will be an 11-5 team this year

Yeah, Gabriel ended up with 6 receptions along with Ben Watson, so he does have recievers, Brady just didnt look energised yesterday

I don't think that means he has recievers just because one guy and a TE had 6 grabs. Brady has lost his share of playmakers over the last couple years and that can't be overlooked. While they still have the talent to lead the division I think they lack the playmakers to make a differance in the grand scheme of things.

I think the definition of a successfull season should be defined before you can say a team will be successfull or not.
If SB is the measure then most teams were never successfull. If winning ones division or moving to the playoff`s is success then i am sure we have alot of good teams.
Then just contending to win a division is also success.

So we have varing degree of success so depending on what definition one chooses we end up with different teams.

For me contending every year in the division and winning is successfull and a think the pats will do for years.

Heck no! They won't have a good season. The Pats are terrible this season. I lost my points on those chumps, in last Sunday's game.
