Are the pats gonna have a good season without Deion branch and other key departures.

The Pats are done. They are still good enough to beat weaker teams but they aren't good enough to beat the great teams. The only thing holding them up is the fact that they have the best QB in the NFL. Even with their horrilbe recieving core they still get catches because Brady is the best. The Patriots were great for 4 years and that is a good, long run. The thing is that Miami isn't that great so unless their is a suprise team in the East then the Patriots could still make the playoffs. It should be a close race between Maimi and New England. Whats funny is that my neighbor who moved here from Boston thinks the Patriots are the class of the NFL but that Tom Brady isn't that great. I don't understand, the biggest reason they are still good, not great but good, is because of Tom Brady.

The Pats dynasty is crumbling and will continue to do so. I don't even think they'll win their division -- The Dolphins will, even though they lost their opener to Pittsburgh. If not for Tom Brady, the Pats would have been out of it long, long ago.

So far, if you read some of the above quotes, it would appear that people are just dying for the pats to hit the wall...
They struggled in week #1 , and Brady admitted he was ditrcted by the "branch" saga...now he is ready to move on.
And if you look at the score board, Pats/Jets...there is an asswhipping in progress.
Granted, the slipped by the bills, and are pounding on the jest (ya, it's the jets) but this team is far from a decline.

Not me Mack. I say the Pats are still a good/great team. Everyone is too quick to "pull the trigger" on them. Don't know why? Envyous I guess cause of 3 SB in 4 yrs.
They're looking good right now leading 24-7. But then everybody will say "it's just the Jets"

I also have said NE is a force to be reckoned with...
They have beastly LBs, Samuel & Harrison make up a good secondary, Seymour anchors the Dline
and they have brady on offense, who gives a damn about poor receivers, just pass to watson

I think the Pats could win the division, but they won't blow out the other teams this year. As far as a playoff team, I don't think they'll get far against teams like the Colts, Broncos, Steelers, or Bengals if they do make the playoffs.
