Pats take jab at Colts
In a tweaking of their litigious longtime rivals, the Patriots have asked the NFL to ensure the safety of their employees when the Colts visit Foxboro on Nov. 5.
According to Tom Curran of NBC.com, the tongue-in-cheek request is in reference to combustible Colts president Bill Polian, who was censured by the league for grabbing a Jets employee by the lapels this season while complaining about speakers he felt were too close to the field.
Polian, of course, has filed a number of complaints against the Pats, ranging from shoddy grass to their corners mugging his receivers.
The Patriots did not return a call seeking comment last night.
