I imagine the fine would've been greater if the NFL was convinced there was clear intent to seriously injure Losman. Also, Wilfork's reputation until now has been pretty sterling and that probably worked in his favor. It was a well-deserved fine, but let's not go overboard. We're not talking Albert Haynesworth-type behavior here.
I thought he was pushed into Losman but that doesn't account for him sticking his elbow out. That looked like it was done on purpose, but I do wonder if he was trying to hurt Losman wouldn't he have stuck the rest of his arm out.

like if it was intentional he would come and say it, LOL
And thats fine that you don't believe him, but I've been watching him play for a few years now, and I've heard lots of interviews with him, and I know he is a class act. Especially with this being his first offense, I give him the benefit of any doubt. I believe him.
This is a look at it. The first view of it looked a little questionable to me, but then when I looked at the second view of it, its clear that he is just trying to break his fall. I understand why people are screaming looking at that. I think most people are looking at it in slow motion (like this clip) and are saying he could have avoided it. I couldn't find a youtube view of it at full speed, but I'm pretty sure that if any reasonable unbiased fan saw it at full speed they'd agree that it happened too fast for him to avoid it. Instinct is to throw your arms to the ground when your tripped up like that... Losman's knee was in the path. I could definitely see Wilfork's version of it being true. That being said, only he knows the truth, and if this were someone with a reputation for throwing cheap shots, I might be more suspicious.

I still beleive Wilfork was thinking about sacking the QB and not trying to lay a career ending hit on him when the play was happening. It just ended up as a weird tackle.

well then all those interviews of a stranger to you gives you a lot to base that opinion that he is a class act. I mean, if he interviews well, he has to be great person, right? (10)

By the same token, I guess because the possibility is there that he is putting an act on, I should assume on the contrary of what I've judged on my own, that he is a complete scumbag. As I mentioned in one of my first posts, the only one who really knows what the intent was is Wilfork.
Also, I did mention in my last post that I have been watching him play for a few years now... that had something to do with the reason why I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as well.
