Make me care about the Miami Dolphins
I'm trying. I really am. But I just can't help but feel supremely confident about this game in Miami. I simply cannot think of a single remotely convincing reason why the Dolphins can win.
I mean sure, Brady has struggled at times against their defense. But that was back in the days when they actually had a respectable defense. And yeah, they'll probably be pretty motivated to win and all. But can mere motivation overcome the chasm of disparity in talent and coaching between these two teams?
The Patriots are currently at the top of the NFL elite, competing for perfection. The Dolphins are clearly in fire-sale, rebuilding mode. The Chambers trade is proof enough of that. So give me some reason, some matchup, just something to make me feel this game is anything other than a gimme.

Let's say they have our audibles. In fact, let's say Belichick hands them a detailed diagram of each individual play and lets them broadcast it on the jumbotron prior to every snap. Even then, are we sure the undisciplined, inept and talent deficient Dolphins would be capable of doing anything about it?

I believe Brady's record in Miami is 2-6. If thats not enough reason then nothing is.

Ronnie Brown's been a top 5 back so far this year, and now he's all they got. Expect him to get a lot of dumps against New England..
That being said, the Pats are going to poo all over Miami.

I really hope so but no Pats fan can ever be confident heading down to Miami.

In fact, in their history, the Patriots have only beat Miami at Miami in September or October once. How about this. No matter how bad Miami has been, they always seem to do good against the Patriots. I know the Patriots aren't taking the Dolphins lightly... which means your probably right, stringbean... at least I hope you are.

49-28. No thanks to Matt Cassel.
And having now witnessed Miami play a full 4 quarters of football I think they actually exceeded my expectations of crappiness! My goodness, that is a God-awful team. And if Ronnie Brown does indeed have a torn ACL (as early reports suggest) their odds of winning a single game this year diminish. I certainly hope they have a lot of draft picks and some cap space.

Well, while I agree that Miami looks horrible, and could indeed go 0=16, actually Chatman did pretty good in place of Brown yesterday. I think the loss on defense to Miami yesterday is a worse loss. I forget his name, but the one that went down on that TD catch from Moss. I almost feel bad for Miami fans. Not only did they look horrible yesterday, but everything seemed to go wrong as far as injuries yesterday as well.
We should make predictions about which one of the two winless teams will get a win first Miami or St Louis... if either, since they aren't playing each other this year!
