[quote=quitesanemax;2340730] Bill Belichick is usually a pretty classy coach.

Is it classy to run the score up on teams that are already clearly defeated? NO.

The Washington game was the only one where you might question that they ran up the score, IMO. In that game Brady stayed in til the last drive of the 3rd quarter. That went into the 4th quarter, but it started in the 3rd. It is considered disrespecting the other team if you take your starters out before the 4th quarter. That being said, they were up 38-0, so I think I would have taken Brady out myself. Why risk the injury.

Buffalo, Brady stayed in to the beginning of the 4th quarter again, just finishing off the last drive. Points after that was scored on an interception run in for a TD.

Everyone mentions Miami, but they fail to mention that Brady came out at the beginning of the 4th again. Taylor runs in an interception for a TD making it a 21 point game. So to make sure that they had the game in hand they put Brady in for one more drive. I don't think they ran up the score in that one.

So that they ran up the score was again a myth, like the one created by the media, that Belichick is classless. Due to their hatred of Belichick, cause he doesn't kiss their ***, the media is trying to shove these myths down our throats. The fans are more than happy to accept it as truth, because everyone hates the Patriots because of how good they have been doing over this decade.

Then he shouldn't have been wasting a spot on the roster. Sit out and give the leg and the ego a rest. He hurt the team far more than he could have helped.......

They don't need to take Brady out in the fourth to be sportsmanlike. Just don't go for it on 4th and 13 when leading by 40 points, like in the Buffalo game. That was when I lost all respect for Belichick and the Patriots. Everything since has just reinforced my opinion. I hope that the video guy sings like a canary.

If you don't like it, then play harder to prevent the scoring. Sure, your pride is hurt when you get thumped, but the only place to look for the problem is in the mirror. The goal of any football team is to score points and win games. If you can't do it, then find another line of work!

Like I already stated, if you can't keep up, then quit!! The Patriots were hung out to dry by Goodell in the 'spygate' thing. He knew that every team in the league was doing a variation of the same thing. They were caught, and singled out, and punished. You didn't hear the Patriots crying about the Jets doing the same thing in the playoffs last year. The natural reaction is to close ranks and fight together against all comers. They did that better than any team had before, and all they got out of it (outside their own fan base) was scorn and hatred. So look for more of the same next year. The Patriots will fill their holes and come back playing just as hard as they can to try and win one game at a time. I can't wait for next season to start.....

I'm sure glad I don't play any sports against you. I hope that when the Patriots are down, other teams pummel them mercilessly after the way they acted. When you are up by 20 points in the fourth quarter and the other team isn't showing any signs of life, you call off the dogs, run the ball, and get out with a win. You don't go for it on fourth down, fake spikes, etc. You RESPECT your opponent -- something the Patriots didn't do this year. Thankfully, they now have to live with the fact that they are possibly the biggest chokers in the history of the league after losing the Superbowl.

It's one second... honestly 1 second. The game IS OVER. As in... NO CHANCE TO WIN.. I still don't see why everyone is freaking out. The game was over.. Who cares?
