"The Patriots have had success rehabilitating players who were perceived as malcontents: first, Corey Dillon, then Randy Moss, now are they prepared to take on Adam "Pacman" Jones?

According to a report in the Tennessean newspaper, the Patriots are among the teams that have expressed some level of interest in the Tennessee Titans cornerback, who sat out all of last season after being suspended by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for his wayward off-field behavior.

Jones, who was suspended in April 2007, remains suspended by the league, pending a review by Goodell, which could come as soon as next month, prior to the NFL Draft. Jones was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2005 draft. In 2006, he finished first in the NFL in punt return average (12.9 yards) and tied for the league lead with three punt returns for touchdowns. On defense, Jones started 15 games and intercepted four passes, returning one for a touchdown.

However, the seemingly incorrigible cornerback carries more baggage than Paris Hilton. He's been arrested six times since being drafted by the Titans and was at the center of a Las Vegas strip club melee in February 2007 that left a man paralyzed.

He's currently serving three years probation, stemming from an incident in Fayette County, Ga., where he was alleged to have bitten a police officer's hand. Jones cut a plea agreement with prosecutors last month, admitting to felony obstruction of a police officer.

Jones certainly has the talent to help replace departed Pro Bowl cornerback Asante Samuel, but Pacman's preferred destination appears to be Dallas."

I don't want this guy in Boston no matter what. You couldn't pay me to take him. Actually it depends how much you pay. lol.

no one can even talk to him or his agent until he is reinstated and that may not happen until just before camp, if at all and the guy hasn't played in a LONG time.

my thinking is that if he was going to get reinstated, then why not at the 1 year date like most reinstatements, the thing is the guy didn't stay away from bad things, in fact he had a couple of incidents since the suspension, I seriously wouldn't be surprised if you were right grunt.

Im think if Dallas passes on Adam and he signs somewhere that playes the Cowboys, he is definatly gonna make Dallas pay.

I don't see it happening. He's a great talent, but I don't think he can be rehabillitated. As much as I love this guys talents at corner, his off the field issues are too much.

Lol, it's just rumors, no team is stupid enough to go for a player like him. Not only that, but the pats have shown that they can re-adjust players attitudes.. perhaps you've heard of Randy Moss?? Just throwing a name out there.
