Faulk was issued a misdemeanor summons for simple possession of marijuana at a Lil Wayne concert at the Cajundome in February. A Lafayette Parish sheriff's deputy allegedly found four marijuana cigarettes in Faulk's jacket during a routine search.
On Tuesday, Faulk, a Louisiana native and an LSU graduate, received a five-month suspended sentence, one year of supervised probation, 40 hours of community service to be served in the form of anti-drug lectures to students at Lafayette Parish middle and high schools and 20 hours of NFL-approved substance-abuse treatment.

For what its worth, they took a drug test right afterward, and he didn't have any drugs in his system, according to a Globe report I read on it when it first happened.
Either he was telling the truth, and the drugs weren't his (doesn't seem likely), or he hadn't gotten to the place he was going to smoke it yet... and at the very least, if this is the case, that means he doesn't smoke the stuff on a regular basis, or there would have been some residue left in his system... or he is a dealer, which I hope is not the case. (I doubt it is).
Not that I would stop being a Pats fan because of this, but I am very disappointed in Kevin Faulk. Bruschi, Brown (well when he was on the team), and Faulk are the class acts of that team. Whatever the scenario above, I expect him to be more intelligent than that. Its not like hes just getting out of college, and just starting his NFL career. He knows better than that.
That being said, he has handled it with class, and I guess everyone makes mistakes. Hopefully he puts it behind him, and continues to be his clutch self this season.
