The 17-year-old son of New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has to stay out of trouble for six months to escape a charge for alcohol possession in the Gillette Stadium parking lot.
Brian Belichick was arrested Monday afternoon, the day of the NCAA lacrosse title match, after police found him holding a can of beer during a patrol for underage drinkers, authorities said.
The younger Belichick appeared in Wrentham District Court on Tuesday. His case was continued without a finding for six months, meaning if he stays out of trouble, the charges will dropped.
Norfolk district attorney’s spokesman David Traub said Belichick will have to pay $200 in court costs and complete an educational program on the potential consequences of drinking.
He should stop his son from hanging out with Andy Reids boys they keep this up they are going to be drafted by the Bengals and no one wants that to happen.
I think Andy Reid's kids had problems with something a little more serious than alcohol, if I'm not mistaken... or if not, it was more serious than being 'caught drinking in public'.
Love it... a patrol for underage drinking - just what we need. The drinking age just causes problems. These kids think its a big deal, because we make it a big deal. I said it when I was 18, and I still say it now when I'm 40. Now-a-days, even if a parent allows their teenager to have a drink in the house, he can get into big trouble if someone catches wind of it. No wonder why these kids need to sneak off to Gillette to drink... it's really gotten out of hand, the control freaks that they have become.
That being said, the kid probably got a little too cocky for his own good. I can see it... him in Gillette. "No one's going to bother me... I'm the coaches son!" Lol.
