i disagree, I know I didn't watch every NO game but there were a bunch of plays that I recall where the play would break down and a lot of those receivers gave up on the play. It would seem like he would make a throw and the receiver would stop and not even make a move to the ball, and on top of that let the defender have it. I am sure that it was frustrating for him as well to have perfectly thrown balls dropped. that would kill any QB

I watched every Saints game, and I know what you are talking about, but it wasn't as bad as you would think with the receivers. He would misread defenses and throw the ball into defenders chests, several times a game. He could easily have had 30 picks if LBs could catch.

i think alot also came from his mistrust in the receivers, there were alot of picks that could have been avoided if other catches were made and thus would have been fewer 2nd and long and 3rd and long where eveybody in their grandma knew a pass was coming. it's all speculation now.

And this was the only point that I was making...He was faced with a lot of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and longs where he was forced to make a play. It's not easy to constantly convert when your faced with that.

there is no way to know what types of situations he may have had or what his stats would have been based on the outcome of other plays. I am just saying that it was not as much brook's fault as people seem to think

My problem with Brooks is nothing to do with talent, arm, or even accuracy. He has all three. He makes bad decisions, forces things WAY too much, and more than anything, is a bad team leader. He started a fight on a team plane with Charles Grant, a defensive leader.
I think if Brooks goes to a team with strong veteran leadership from other positions he could shine.

true, but if he never learns how to lead, he will never win when it really counts.
