number one offense. you can't really compare to that. however, the saints defense held when they had too and have ADDED some needed players. our secondary will basically be brand new other than mckensie. add a healthy roman harper to that mix and i am happy with what they did this off season. you talk like the saints went 3-13 last year. how was the defense so horrible? you must still think these are haslett's saints. they played light years ahead, last season, of what i have been use to over the last couple of seasons.

The offense was light years ahead of Haslett, not the defense. Their numbers are not that much improved over the Haslett era. Mckenzie, Harper, and Bullocks are all decent players, but they are not playmakers... which this defense has none past the D-line. I agree the team is good, but it is 100% offense that gets them wins. The defense can't hold back a good running team, can't stop the pass, and doesn't get turnovers... aside from that I guess they are awesome

They need to get the takeaways up to at least 25, and they definitely need to find some way to shut down the running game.

I think Harper has potential, he was showing it before he went down, he was playing pretty solidly.
