You can't sleep on Carolina they are the sleeper this year. They have some great talent on both sides of the field.

The defense is good, but they still have a lot of ?s. Beason is overrated, he was mediocre in most games at Miami, but he can make some plays. Peppers and Jenkins are basically the line you speak of. and the secondary is getting worse.

Secondary isn't that good, they're offense is decent, not much of a defense.

-The LB core need some upgrade and Simons if healthy is only a slight up grade
-Fred Thomas was burnt more times than Roy Williams was last year and the team is hoping on Jason Davis a Tampa 2 cover corner to be able to play man defense or Usama Young a rookie corner in need of a lot of development
-Sean Payton granted he did well last year but he also had some big mistakes. The NFC championship game he gave up too early on the run. Also the only reason they were in that game is after Payton made a big mistake against the Eagles, calling a toss play while trying to run out the clock, the eagles turned around and did a bigger one by punting with less than 2 minuets left in the game.

Granted it was only one game BUT

- The Saints did not seem to have the fire they had last year nor support of fans while on the road.
- Bush did OK not great
- I do not even now if Simons played
- Davis burned more often that Thomas was last year.
- The Saints were outplayed the second half.

All you need to say is Sean Payton is calling the plays, and refuses to commit to a running game early and then if they don't have success early on, they abandon the run.

The longer the season goes on the more and more I seem right about this. The Saints will more than likely win the South but that is more to do with the other teams in the division lacking instead of the Saints being good. Also I have heard of being asking for Fred to come back and be the CB again.

I think they are going to win the NFC South. Come on Brees and Bush were rolling and the wheels fell off against St. Louis. If they pick up from where they left off from the previous game then they will be o.k. They need to give Reggie more touches though. He wants to win and thats what a team needs. Did you guys see him hurdle over that guy on that third down play in the 4th quarter ??? it kept the drive going
