He paid Deuce, Horn, and several other players recently, even the God awful Aaron Brooks got a big deal, why stop when the team should be improving.

Every player eventuallt leaves if someone vastly overpays for them, but I think Bush will be like Edge stay with the Saints til he is fairly old, then leave for a big overpaying paycheck.

You forgot about Freeney next year. He is their big priority and they wanted to save money to resign him next year.

right now freeing up money to keep Freeney should be their top priority. He is the leader of the defense and causes match-up problems for every team they play. They did the right thing picking him over Edge.

and freeney is only making a base salary of 600,000 this year, he is going to be due a ton of money next year.
