Yahoo Sports reports Reggie Bush is considering sitting out the 2006 season and re-entering the 2007 NFL Draft.
Contract talks between the Saints and Bush have reportedly been non-existent and it's nearly a lock the Heisman winner will hold out. Bush is believed to have banked more than $5 million from endorsement deals that are guaranteed whether or not he plays in 2006. Though it seems unlikely, the theory is that Bush doesn't need the money he'd receive from a rookie contract and would still be a high pick in next year's draft.
If he does this it is because he believes he is a number one overall pick, which he won't be next year either, so what then sit another year and hope no one else gets picked before you. It's funny how guys expect to get more than they are worth just becuae ESPN has a love affair with them. He was the number 2 pick and doesn't deserve anything more than number 2 money....PERIOD.
I don't think that will happen. Saints fan would be really upset if that happened. Even if he did it he prolly wouldn't be the number one pick in the 07 draft either. Are NFL players even allowed to do that?
he has everything going for him, why let arrogance get in the way. So what if you dont get picked number 1, if it was me i would prove to them i deserved the number 1 pick
