That is good news indeed! I don't know how realistic it is to play games in the Superdome in 2006, but just the idea that they will be staying in New Orleans for another year is great. It should be interesting in the offseason how many players with contracts ending this year on the Saints, will resign with them, and the same with free agents. I mean it is awful to blame leaving a team upon one of the deadliest hurricanes in history, but in reality, they are playing with such a distraction in New Orleans with all the traveling, that you wonder if a couple players might jump ship. I guess only time will tell...

Sadly, you're very right. I expected the Saints would gain a huge following this year, as the New York teams did following the WTC attacks, but they've largely been unnoticed. I expect Brooks will retire after this year. He's just done. Who knows who will step up to fill his place, or which players will remain next year. As you said, time will tell.
