FOXSports.com has learned that the Eagles today swung a trade with the Saints for former first-round pick Donte Stallworth in exchange for LB Mark Simoneau and a fourth-round pick that can turn to a third rounder if the Eagles can work out an extension with the receiver.

Stallworth, a free agent after the year, has been on the trade block for quite some time and the Saints had fielded offers from several teams, including the Patriots.

kind of seems like they just gave Donte away,IMO. He did pretty good last year and i don't think the Saints got enough in this trade.

70 catches for about 950 yards, that's very good, and they get a back up LB and a 3-4th round pick? I mean let's not ask for too much here Sean, wouldn't want to take more than former first rounders who are actually starting to produce are worth.
