Thumbs up

seeing that there is a lot of turnover this season in the nfc north, i am curious to hear the expectations of lion, viking and fudgie fans. in your honest opinions how long do you anticipate it's going to take to right the ship (no pun intended viking fans)?

do you think your team currently has the talent to match the new schemes being installed on both sides of the ball?

do you think your team has the attitude to match the new philosophy of the coaching staff (the lions really come to mind here)?

using the turnover from dick mauron to lovie, it took the bears a full season and off-season to get the pieces in place given the radical change in overall team attitude and on the field philosopy from the mauron years. however, i think lovie did a masterful job of coaching last season (carolina playoff game excluded) given the fact he had to start a rookie quarterback.

I honestly think if Marinelli can get a few more pieces to the puzzle ala Lovie, and the team can buy into his philosophy, the Lions will be a very formidable team. I don't know about Childress, he seems to have "Culpepper-On-The-Brain" and can't really drop the issue (at least from a few threads I've seen) and that if he keeps second-guessing himself the team will show little confidence in him. I don't know anything really about the Packer's new guy so I'll leave that opinion open.

Obviously I want them to turn it around this season, but unlikely. My guess is they can contend for the playoffs in 07. It seems in todays NFL there are suprise teams every year though.

And no, I dont think this team has the attitude to match the coaching staff YET.
