While I really don't agree over changing the jersey rule number **** for just 1 player...


I wouldn't have a period over it if they did allow him to wear a non-RB number. It is just a number for crying out loud not really a big concern IMO.

what year did the number system actually become set in stone? RB's used to be able to wear #5.

Oh I would not advocate changing it just for Reggie, I'd make the change relevant to all running backs. I just don't see why the NFL cares all that much for the currect number restrictions. And as more uniform numbers get retired, it just becomes inevitable that those rules become relaxed as is the case for WRs.
