Why is Reggie getting so much flack? From what I read there is that his agent will wait until Young is signed so Reggie can get a fair deal. I wouldn't mind having my agent wait unless the team was offering near #1 money if I'm the #2 pick. You don't want to get screwed like Taylor did.

For anyone who watched the draft, this was easy money to
predict he would be a holdout.
For those of you who didn't, his interview with the Saints jersey
just hanging there like a washcloth between his legs, was a sure
indication that he wasn't happy.
And his answers?! Talk about underwhelmed.
Not happy = make some one else pay BIG TIME!

Yeah, that looks like a guy thrilled to be just getting the opportunity to play.

I wouldn't give him that much cash. I'd offer him a ton of money for his second year if he met a certain criterea in his rookie season. The guy is still a college player and he is undersized for an NFL RB. He has potential bust written all over him.

In The Sporting News last week they had an article on the Texans decision making process leading up to the draft. It stated Reggie Bush was willing to accept the same contract as Mario Williams ($54 million) but he wanted $28 million guaranteed rather than the $26 million guaranteed to Mario. So I reckon that would establish a decent baseline for what Bush will ask for. Are the Saints willing to pay that much? Should they?

No. He wasn't the #1 overall pick. You take what last year's #2 pick got, a RB no less in Ronnie Brown, and you give him a 10% increase. If he doesn't take it, he sits. No bull**** games.

Saints after Mario Williams signs with Texans on the Phone w/ Reggie Bush and Lee Steinberg (or Condon, whoever his agent is):

Saints : Reggie, will you hold out

LS (off phone, whispering) : Shhh, just say no

RB : No, of course not

About 1 week later and this liar's been exposed. I knew he was going to hold out.
