Giants | Peterson released

Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports the New York Giants have released CB Will Peterson.
Just curious, why was he cut? Wasnt he pretty good?
Is there some injury problem i dont know about or something like that?

Yep. A career threatening back injury. Oh well i hope he bounces back somehow. That sucks...

I think he hurt his back in a pre game warmup or something and was out for the year. I believe they said it was career threatening.

i guess maybe the coaching staff feels that webster is ready t ostart? if thats the case then this seems like a good long term move, if not im really worried about the other CB spot

Coughlin doesnt believe in keeping guys with lingering injuries that may never completely go away around...this move is completely related to the back injury, and I wont be suprised if Peterson retires or takes a year off..

Will Peterson owned the Vikings for years, thank God he is gone  However, I wouldn't mind seeing the Vikings bring him in for a look |
