the Superdome will re-open next season on September 24 on a game against the Falcons. Great news to all Saints fans.

That is great news. I heard that the NFL gave 20 million to make sure that it would be done in time. The one thing I have to wonder about is if there will be any fans down there. I work part time with U-haul and I had a woman come in last week saying she was moving up here because after the storm hit she went down there and looked at her place and cleaned up some but was upset by all the trash and stuff around so she came back here. WHen she went down there again some months later all the trash and stuff that was there before was still there. She said ther were thousands of people werer working on cleaning it up but you could not tell that they had done a thing.

i think once the Superdome re-opens even if there aren't many people living down there it will be full. But how long are fans going to come down just for a football game?

That's the same as any other team, it depends on how loyal the fans are and how good the team plays.. Now would be a good time for the Saints to actually start winning games if they intend to stay in New Orleans.

If they ever need to have a have winning season this would be the year. They had a guy on the that had did a gov. study on what NO would look like in ten years and they were saying only around 50% of the people would be back but that a lot of the peeople that went down there to rebuild will stay. So they could get a jump in the amount of fans they have if not a large turn over.

well i agree that they need to win this season, i think that it isn't the end if they don't. as long as the win more than four games they should be ok.

I think a lot of displaced fans will start to look around them and see what other teams are around if the Saints start going into the tank with no sign of recovery. They need a new QB if they draft either Matt or Vince I think a lot of fans will give them a little bit of a break.

Which QB would you like to see the Saints draft? Matt would probably be the better long term pick, but Vince would really help fan support.

Since they need fans more than they need titles, I'll say Vince.
