Meachem will probably thrive in that offense, i dont like henderson that much and think meachem will end up being a better player....jmo

Colston could be a beast in any offense, because he has great hands and is a physical presence. Meachem doesn't have good hands, and goes down like a good prom date as soon as he gets touched.

lol give him time, early struggles doesnt always mean failure. he might have to recuperate from william gay destroying him in the HOF game, no one would be the same lol

Not to mention completely losing the NFC title game before it even started, yeah that was Payton, no reason to pass every damn play, or not even practice outside when there is a 100% chance of F'in snow.

why not be a falcon's fan nole? you are the most pesemistic saint's fan i have ever seen. a normal saint's fan takes any glimer of hope and runs with it. i can't believe i am even having this argument about payton. i know of 28 more teams that would have given anything to be in that title game that we blew. but that is the beauty of football. any team on any day can best any other team. that's what makes football great. did we have the potential to beat chicago? yep we did. but we didn't. atleast wait till the first game of the season to say that the saints suck. i am a payton fan untill he proves me wrong. if you think he proved me wrong by cutting draft picks, he didn't. i am glad he has the balls to make a 53 man roster with people he thinks can contribute(freddy thomas or not). in reality, neither me nor you see all that the coaches see and that is why they pay them to cut or keep who they think can help them win a championship. why be a fan of a team if you hate them from the head coach down? maybe in youre perfect world we can go back to pre katrina and hire back haslett. then he can sign arron brookes back and then the bears better watch out. oh ya, and we can let reggie bush be our new corner.

First off, it's called realism, not pessimism. I think this team has the talent to win a SB, but 90% of that talent is on offense. You keep saying go back to Haslett, no one likes Haz, not me, not you, not anyone. But to say Payton hasn't proven to have no clue what he is doing in a draft is hilarious, aside from Evans(Bush and Colston were pure luck) he hasn't made a great move in the draft. Trading out of the second when their are playmaking LBs, DBs, and DL[all huge needs] still on the board to trade down and draft a corner who will likely not even make the dime role? Trading up to draft a RB? Even if Meachem turns out to be good, does it matter when the system made Henderson, Copper, Colston, and everyone else look great last year? And where the hell is an upgrade to the defense that nearly forced the fewest turnovers in the league.... a cover 2 corner, a reject DT, and a mediocre old LB? Come on man, I am just as much of a fan as anyone but I am not a homer who won't admit when my guys are retarded.

I was going to say Nole is a realistic fan andit is certainly refreshing, not everything is pessimistic but he calls them as he sees them and it is, like I said, refreshing.
