You can't possibly be that blind man. Come on.

i don't call it blind. a loss is what it was and that is reality. do you honestly think the score would have been 41-10 if the saints offense would have shown up? you can't possibly be that stupid man. i haven't seen the offense play that bad in over a year. blame it on the defense all you want. you can't expect any defense to hold peyton manning and the colt's offense all game with no relief from the offense. that's why they play the game. it could have just as easily have gone the other way if the colt's offense decided it didn't have to show up. i'm not worried until the defense allows the bucs to run over them. as far as the homer talk. the saints are my team and i will try and find any glimer of hope as long as i bleed black and gold. why don't some of you take your heads out of nole's "you know what" and actually watch a game instead of just kissing his "you know what". re watch the game as i have and then tell me that the saint's offense didn't give the defense any oppurtunity to keep fresh legs, which in the end result gave manning a prime opportunity to pick apart a tired defense. you people obviously believe what you want and i will do the same. there is a lot more football to be played before the saint's aren't worthy of stepping on a football field. half the teams in the nfl have to start the season 0-1. let's see what happens by the end of the year.

Quote from deuce mcallister from the times picyune:
"The defense actually played well," McAllister said. "We left them out there too long. "There was a moment in the first half when Indy's defensive linemen were huffing and puffing for air, and we didn't convert on third down. We let them off the hook."

And what did you expect him to do? Throw his own defense under the bus? That doesn't really prove anything.

I expect him to say what he saw. if you would have watched the game you would have seen the same thing. 3 and out over and over and over equals an exhausted defense and a score of 41-10.

yeah right. So if he had said your coach's play calling sucked that night, everyone would just be hunky dory with that, lol.

Quote... what Deuce McAllister was thinking, "Jason David is a midget who couldn't cover my grandma. If we don't throw 50 on the board we might not win a damn game, and why the hell am I not getting the ball more?"

But you should be able to expect them not to allow Reggie Wayne and Harrison to be wide open more than twice.

after chasing them deep all night, yep i do. the reason that the saints played cover two was to prevent the deep ball. playing cover two really wears down your secondary because of the deep routes they cover. however, it worked for the first 5 or 6 series. after the saint's offense went three and out for the millionth time peyton manning played the role of a surgeon and picked the exhausted secondary apart. now we could have this argument for the end of eternity. reality is that i believe in payton and the saints and you don't. if you watched the game expecting the saints to let you down, then that is what you got. what i got was optimistic view of the defense if the offense, which i know can be unstoppable, could have gotten it together. the saints had many opurtunities to go ahead, especially before the end of the half and after half time. three and out again and again resulted in the outcome of the game. i don't know what else there is to say. i might eat crow at a later date for my homerism but until they are out of the playoff hunt, i still believe they have as good a shot as anybody. remember that football is so great because of the unknown. who knows what would of happened had the saints offense shown up? they didn't and that is that.

Nole actually knew what was going to happen. I think if the offense wasn't shellacked in a hole because their corner's strategy was to allow the WR to get a five yard space and then chase them. The offense wasn't given a chance despite the ridiculous play calling. In the first two drives the offense looked good, but plateaued and the defense wore out from David's poor play specifically.
