In addition to the torn ACL he suffered Monday night, Deuce McAllister tore the meniscus in his left knee.
The extra injury may lead to swelling and delay McAllister's surgery, putting his status for 2008 training camp into further doubt. McAllister tore the ACL in his left knee Monday. His right ACL was torn in 2005. He's due $3.7 million next season, and the Saints could ask to redo his contract if they want him back. If Reggie Bush plays well as the feature back, they may not.

If Reggie Bush plays well as the guy splitting time with Pierre Thomas and Aaron Stecker. Reggie still won't be a "feature back", meaning I don't see Payton giving him 20 carries.

But when you don't have several holes why trade down and waste that pick?
You mean like draft someone like the Bears did that it has been how many years and he has done what cost so much money that they could not keep T. Jones around. Top ten picks cost a lot of money and are not always easy to sign, Russell, plus they come in with a lot of expectations that can cause problems. While they can get a good player you can also get a guy like Mike Williams, Rolle, R. Brown, while not all of them are bad players but they are not up to the level of their draft status. While some guys drafted later have done better.

A great case is Rex Grossman while he was not a top ten pick he had a lot of people think and wishing and counting on him. While he has been given chances and at time have done well he has been unalbe to meet what people were thinking he was going to be. While another QB that was not even drafted not even sure he would make a team was given the time to watch others in front of him and learn pick their brain, has so far done much better as a starter. So tell me if you are the Bears would you rather have Grossman or Romo as your QB. That is a very extrem case but the NFL is full of other like it.

Believe In Bush is on a distinguished road
Default Horrible situation

Mcallister being injured is going to real make a big impact on the saints season. The diversity between bush and mcallister is what made both those RB's so successful. I still believe though.
