Saints In Lead For Samuels
Quote:
The Saints are "currently the leader" to sign free agent Asante Samuel, according to FOXSports.com's John Czarnecki.
Nice to see they've realized their Jason David mistake. Samuel's asking price reportedly went up recently because DeAngelo Hall is asking for $10 million a season. Czarnecki says the Giants would trade their first-rounder for Hall, but wouldn't go that high on a contract.

samuel is a finesse guy that makes plays off a good pass rush, I think he would be a good fit in Tampa where in the cover 2, he would be able to take his zone and make plays

The redskins would be a terrible fit for him, they have no pass rush and he would be destroyed, he needs to go to a cover 2 team or a team that has a good pass rush

Saints have 2 top line DE's. If they can land Samuel and trade for Vilma, their D got a whole lot better.
I thunk they should try to get cute and offer up their 1st and a player for Vilma and Robertson

I can definetly see him in Tampa. He would be a great fit their. They got a nice pass rush, along with some great corners... he could definetly play there.
