Saints inquire about trading up...
The Saints have had talks with St. Louis about trading up to #2, in theory to draft Dorsey before ATL has a shot at him.
As much as we need DT, if they give up our second I'll go berserk. This team needs at least four new starters on defense, even with Vilma and the corners. I still think they need a CB, NT, WLB, possibly a FS(I am not as low on Bullocks as most Saints fans, no one can look good behind Jason "the Burnmaster" David and Fred " Toast" Thomas). That's at least 3 and possibly four positions of need on defense alone, not to mention a TE, better RT(Stinkcomb can still start if he has to), LG(Nesbit is horrible), C(Lehr or Goodwin...come on), and possib;y a back up RB who can pound the ball.
That's a lot of needs to be getting rid of a pick when a guy who is basically rated the same (Sedrick Ellis) could fall. I wouldn't mind trading up, getting Chris Long and then trading Will Smith if someone is willing to overpay for him.

I can't see Ellis falling past Cincy though. Why not trade up to that spot? You're giving up a lot less..

The Bengals might take him, but they have a lot of holes also, and if the Saints want to trade up, why not trade up with Baltimore, they would probably be happy to keep Ellis out of the division, so they might take a cheaper offer.

After Mcnair's retirement, I think the Ravens will jump all over Matt Ryan if he somehow falls. If he doesn't though, trading down's a big possibility. They'd be comfortable drafting a CB mid round as opposed to reaching.

I don't think Ryan makes it to 8, I don't understand the love fest for him, but someone will take him. I don't see them reaching on DRC or McKelvin.

I suppose it depends on what Atlanta has on their plate. I'm sure they'd take Dorsey if they had the chance. After them i only see K.C. possibly taking Ryan, so I think there's a possibility of it happening.

I could see the Jets taking Ryan with Clemens looking like garbage and Pennington with less arm strength than a 2 year old girl.

eh, the last few reports i've read have the Jets shying away from him, but it could very well be smoke.

Anything leading up to the draft, I don't believe. These FO guys are ridiculous with the smoke they throw up.
