New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey is expected to miss three to six weeks after undergoing sports hernia surgery this week, a league source said on Monday according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
The injury was aggravated in Sunday's 34-32 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Shockey caught eight passes for 75 yards against the Broncos. In three games, Shockey has 16 catches for 151 yards and zero touchdowns after being traded to New Orleans by the New York Giants in the offseason.
Its a shame to, he fit in real good for those hard to get 4 and 5 yards for a first down. It seems shockey and Breeze have a good connection too.
stack it up on the injured list. GO SAINTS in a sad metaphorical stand point.
While not having shockey will hurt until the Saints can get a 3rd and 1 or 4th and i they are going to have problems. As it right now even with out shockey and Closten short yardage is now a passing down for the Saints.
