Jets set to toss Ramsey

It looks like the Jets will be in the quarterback market again this offseason.
Patrick Ramsey, whom they acquired last year from the Redskins, is expected to be traded or released by Friday, a person with knowledge of the situation said yesterday.
Ramsey, who failed to mount much of a challenge to Chad Pennington for the starting job in training camp, is due to receive a $1.4 million roster bonus by Saturday. The Jets, who believe that is too much money for a backup, are trying to trade Ramsey in an attempt to recoup the sixth-round draft pick he cost them a year ago. If they can't move him in a trade, they're expected to cut him before having to pay the bonus.
