Jones had a good line with the Bears, the Cards and Bucs at the time when he was with the time had so so lines. However Jones right now has faced two good defenses, so we can count him out yet. The Jets line is not great but they can provide a hole.

WHY? I mean seriously, why would ANYONE pay attention to a mediocre player who was a bust in both TB and ARI? Both teams who were doing nothing. The Bears picked him up and he showed success with a good O-Line, and now he's the savior of your franchise? C'mon. I don't care how much he works out, he's never going to be that elite back that people treat him as.
I think the more appropriate statement is anyone who knows Fantasy Football knew who Thomas Jones was before the Bears, because he's probably burned you by doing nothing.

How many rushes and yards has he had so far?
Yes it's true without a decent OL a good RB and or QB isn't worth squat if they're on their ash all the time.

he was never a full time back until Chicago...... he did have close to 5 yards a touch that season in TB but he wasnt getting the bulk of the carries
he was a great college RB which is why he was a top 10 pick... Elite RB? I dont think anyone is saying he is but the Bears screwed up because hes better then Benson

yeah, that's what i'm thinking about. Benson hasn't been great either, so we need to let this play out a little longer.

Thank you for explaining why anyone who followed football would know who he is.
And i was going to say the same thing about Arizona. He was a bust there, went to Tampa Bay where he showed he was a good back by splitting carries, and really putting it on at the end of the year. Averaging close to 5 yards isnt easy to do for anyone.
And no hes not an elite back but he will rush for over 1200 this season. The reason he struggled now is because hes coming off of an injury that limited his preseason action and made him doubtful for the opener. Then he faced the #1 and #2 rushing Ds.
Pulse if he wasnt a bear, then you wouldnt even be talking about him.

You really think that he'll go over 1200? Really? I really really don't think so. I think he'll get a few decent plays here and there, and score a few times, but not really do much. I've seen him play on the pro level, on a strong team. I didn't see him play in college, but I figured he had to have some type of ability at VA, but still, I don't see where all this amazing potential is that everyone sees. Seriously.
I'm not even saying that Benson is better, that remains to be seen. I just don't have the confidence in him that everyone else seems to have.
If he wasn't a Bear, I probably wouldn't be talking about him... but he was, so I have at least a little bit of knowledge about him. I saw him run out of bounds when defenders came near him. I saw him hit the hole, and I saw him score touchdowns. Just about every back does that. I'm not saying he'll fail at all. I just don't see him producing like they think he will, or at least thought he would.

No one is saying hes amazing, just good. 1200 is what a good back should get.

You have got to understand some thing TJ is a good back he is the replacing Martin who was a great back and a HOFer. TJ is neither of those things, he should be better than who you had last year, Washington I think.
