Oakland needs DT - Sands blows and SApp is 35 - Sedrick Ellis should be the pick, IMO If they go WR - then Early Doucett or DeSean Jackson - Baker could be a lock down LT that Russell needs, but the last time they took a lock down LT, it didn't work out so well.

2 interesting possibilities

Al Davis loves athletic specimens and if gholston is there, he is a guy that Al Davis would definitely consider and lastly. Oakland Raider Great Howie Long's son Chris is a top prospect and could make it to the Raiders spot if the Rams or Pats don't pick him and you know the Raider nation would love to have him

and they have rhodes. if oakland doesnt take d-mac, i think he's going to be available when its the jets pick, i mean think about it. miami has ronnie brown. st louis aint takin him, atlanta needs help elsewhere, oakland may not take him because of lamont,fargs,and rhodes, kc has larry johnson, and then the jets are next. people have the misconception that thomas jones wouldnt play at all if we get d-mac which is bogus. he still would play. better yet, we could acquire d-mac, and trade thomas jones back to chicago for a lineman because u know they're missing him. sounds reasonable to me i mean, jet fans, u honestly think we can have a superbowl-caliber offense with thomas jones at running back?

the only things that worries me about d-mac getting taken before us is if atlanta takes him, oakland takes him, or somebody trades down to take him.

besides, some jet fans think its a bad pick to take mcfadden when the jets are infamous for "bad picks"

Let's keep in mind though, the Vikes had Chester Taylor and still took Peterson. I wouldn't say Thomas Jones is much better than Taylor.

IMO its a good marraige of team and player. Their line is young, so why draft more youth? McFadden and Jones will be a great 1-2 punch. Chris Long makes more football sense, but keep in mind, they have to compete for their market with a more popular team

Early is a late 1st round receiver at best
