I agree great pick by the Colts. Lets say he turns out to be average (which i highly doubt) they just need a guy that can protect Manning and mix up the run and the pass game. He doesnt have to become a super-star.
Exactly, all he will be asked to do is block and run enough to mix it up. He won't be asked to carry the offense.
I dissagree lienart is smarter then any first round qb in the past 2 years. His arms not that weak and he has a good offense(not counting the line).
exactly he has no line that is the problem, his arm is weak, and that is why the jets did not draft him because he could not throw the ball in new york
the biggest bust will be matt lienart he does not have an nfl arm at usc he was surrounded by so much talent on the o line which arizona does not have they do have recievers and a good running back but the defense is bad and matt lienart will have to adjust alot because he cant throw deep or into coverage
No offense, but that's kind of ironic coming from a Vikings fan. Hungry people have been known to mistakingly confuse Brad Johnson's arm for a limp noodle.
No I was making a joke, he never had a great arm, even at FSU he had a mediocre arm. He is just a guy I like so I refuse to hate on him, especially because he has the arm to make all the throws, unlike Lienart whos deep ball is hideous.
Did you watch the games I saw in Minny? He made some pretty throws. Lienart lets it fly and it looks like a knuckle ball. Johnson doesn't exactly have the C-Pep bazooka, but he has a servicable, if not good, arm.
