He certainly didn't have a servicable to good arm in Tampa. Maybe the year off helped him. Maybe he had dead arm, like kickers get dead leg from kicking too much?

Kevin Acee, writing for the Sporting News, reports San Diego Chargers CB Antonio Cromartie stood out at times during the team's rookie camp for his obvious skills and talent hawking the ball. However, he was lost frequently, especially on the third day when veterans joined in. He was easily duped on routes and at times, went the wrong way.

On a team that does great during the regular season and busts in the playoffs he probably will have to be.

You have to look at just who is going to get a lot of playing time this year. Leinart and Young probably will not qualify as the biggest busts of this year because they will not play that much. I can see Williams and Ferguson qualifying because they will start, and so much is expected of them. As far as the future goes, if you are trying to predict more than one year in advance, you are in the wrong game. Way too many injuries, and free agents to predict what will happen past this season.

McCargo and Manny Lawson will both be busts. All three members of that defensive line can't be first round picks. If all three of them are where were these guys all season? I didn't see N.C. State do anything spectacular and these guys might just be living well because Mario.

I have to disagree Greatest show. I think Mario was living because of these guys just as much as they lived off him. Teams couldn't double team anyone because all three of these guys could rush the QB and dominate. Williams is not the dominant force he looks to be. He had one good "year". Which basically consisted of 3 good games. Two of those were against teams with severely depleted O-lines. He might be an athlete, but Peppers was a beast in college every game, regardless of who he played, Williams is not that force.

Great point. And now te Texans do not have any great defensive linemen to compliment Super Mario.

I said this on another forum, and my head was nearly bitten off with the Texans' fans hating on me, but most of them said they never watched an NC St. games. How do you have any ammo if you haven't watched a team. I watched 6 NC State games and Mario Williams had 2 good games, one was FSU, who had 4 back-up linemen in, the other was against Duke or NC if I recall correctly, he didn't produce when he was up against elite competition, the same thing I said against D-Ferg. When these guys got up against the elite they fell apart. If they come in and produce, good for them, but they will need help to be effective and right now neither has that.
