Raiders not convinced Russell is the man?
The Raiders reportedly came away from the NFL Scouting Combine less than convinced that JaMarcus Russell would be their choice with the first pick of the NFL draft.
Beware any pre-draft talk like this, but Oakland's impatience in 'rebuilding' their time is also a factor. Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times believes Calvin Johnson has an equal chance to be drafted first.

It would not surprise me to see Mos traded in either a move before his roster bonus is due at the end of March or in a draft eve/day trade and the Raiders jump on Johnson.
Either way, we are talking about the Raiders. No one in their right mind can say they know what that team will do.

i dont think russel is first overall material.....i would think mid first round actually...but whatever.
Calvin Johnson is the only player that deserves to be taken 1st overall, that doesnt mean he will, Reggie bush was supposed to get it last year, so who knows

Well proff i have to apologize its looking likely we will take Calvin johnson the best player in the draft. The more i think about it the more i hope we trade down and snatch adrian peterson and get troy smith or chris leak in the later rounds. I heard J- russ came in overweight and has bad work ethic. I dont want somebody like that on my team. I gotta say I still dont think we need a receiver but if we have to pick first i would take calvin johnson. to be that big and have that kind of speed is unheard of.

the guy made himself a combine legend, he should go first. Expect moss to be traded, and maybe porter. Mabey you trade moss to atlanta (where he really want to be and vick really wants him to be) for shaub.....just a thought

They still need a quaterbacks more than a wide reciever... Why do you think the Texans selected Mario Williams in front of Reggie Bush last year... It goes by team needs... But you never know...
