That doesn't hold as much water as you might think. McGahee's knee was torn up and he was drafted. He may go in the second, but like I said, only due to lack of experience.
I know of a handful of teams that have taken him off the board entirely and another dozen who medically flagged him. He will be there late into 3rd and possibly day 2. General thoughts around the league was that he would of not had a good showing at work outs if healthy. This surgery means he will not likely be ready for action till early into the season. He won't be able to have a full physical for at least 2 months while the swelling goes down. Teams won't be willing to risk a 1st day pick on a guy they won't be medically able to clear to play that late into the process.
Dude, Mcgahee didn't play a whole year after he was drafted in the first.
a handful (at most 5)plus your other dozen still leaves 15 teams and most with questionable people running the show, still left to draft him, I laugh at your second day suggestion. The only thing that holds him back is experience, but what we have seen is that he can run, block, catch, maneauver all with speed. His size and ability will outshine, I also wouldn't doubt that half of those dozen team's flags are just a smokescreen.
Before he was said to be a late first or second round pick and taht was based on if he would do a pro day before the draft. Since he is not going to be able to do that and it will be so long before he can workout then I think it will be in the dthird round at the ealrest. While bones breaks tend to heal better than other types of injury teams might not be as scared off but if he is already have trouble healing that could raise some flags.
I like the guy he has the size to do damage in the NFL I have been able to watch very little film on him but what I have seen he has good footwork for a big guy but likes to dance more than run over guys. Which is not allways a good style for bigger backs in the NFL.

I smell a friendly internet bet.
Bush will not have his name called on Day 1, book it.
doesn't matter, McGahee was a 1st rounder and didn't play his first year. Bush is a first day guy to me.
It does matter though McGahee worked out at the combine and his pro day, Bush could do neither and it nice that your rate him as a first day guy when he is healthy but he isn't healthy.
