Thumbs down

1 Miami RB/Carnell Williams- Aub

After various failed attempts at finding a RB, coupled with the fact that there really isn't a worthy OT, they go with the closest thing to a safe bet.

2 San Francisco QB/Matt Leinart- USC

The answer to their QB limitations.

3 Carolina WR/Mike Williams- USC

I would think they would trade down if they select here. Mohammed may be too costly to keep, though. A trio of Smith, Colbert, and Williams would be stout.

4 Oakland RB/Cedric Benson- TX

If any team is not worried that R. Williams is his hero, it would be the Raiders.

5 Tampa Bay RB/Ronnie Brown- Aub

Will Pittman beat anyone this offseason?

6. New Orleans Saints CB/Antrel Rolle- Miami

A partial answer to a bad D.

7. Arizona Cardinals LB/Derrick Johnson-TX

Best available, irresistable when a talent like his is here.

8. Tennessee Titans OT/Alex Barron- FSU

They'll likely have to let one of their OT's go.

9. Dallas Cowboys(Buf) CB/Marlin Jackson- Mich

They really had no answer opposite Newman.

10. Chicago Bears WR/Braylon Edwards- Mich

The Bears would be blessed if he were to be here.

11. Wash Redskins DE/Mathias Kiwanuka- BC

The talent they have on the edge is marginal, at best.

12. Kansas City Chiefs LB/Ahmad Brooks-VA

Especially considering that Barber went down, they have next to nothing at LB.

13. Dallas Cowboys DT/Anttaj Hawthorne- Wisc

After CB, will it be DE or DT? Glover isn't getting any younger.

14. Cincinnati Bengals DT/RodWright- TX

Either Lewis isn't the D genius everyone thinks he is or their D line is just bad.

15. Cleveland Browns OT/Jammal Brown- Ok

Surely they'll address their T's at some point in Davis tenure.

16. Green Bay Packers DE/David Pollack- GA

They go with the better Run DE over E. James.

17. Houston Texans TE/Heath Miller- Virginia

They continue to try to give Carr weapons.

18. Detroit Lions OG/Elton Brown- Va

Continued efforts at establishing a running game.

19. St. Louis Rams TE/Kevin Everett- Miami

Martz continues to show he is smarter than anyone else by ignoring the D.

20. Indianapolis Colts DT/Haloti Ngata- Oreg

Dungy moves away from the light in the *** DT's.

21. Jacksonville Jaguars CB/Corey Webster- LSU

Over a DE? Oh, yeah. 2 words: Dewayne Washington.

22. Minnesota Vikings LB/Daryl Blackstock- VA

Still trying to find someone who can help stop the run.

23. Baltimore Ravens WR/Chris Henry- W VA

They go WR, despite the fact Blower won't be able to deliver the ball to him.

24. SD Chargers (NYG) WR/Reggie Brown- GA

He could be the guy who jumps the most in the post season/combine/workouts

25. Seattle Seahawks MLB/Kirk Morrison-SD St

Finding their answer in the middle.

26. SD Chargers DT/Orien Harris - Miami

They've been outstanding on D, but this type of DT is hard to pass up.

27. Denver Broncos DE/Marcus Spears- LSU

With the uncertainty of Pryce's back, they get insurance in a spot they need help at regardless.

28. Atlanta Falcons OT/Marcus McNeil- Aub

Vick is still getting sacked too much.

29. New York Jets S/Darnell Bing- USC

After failing to land Lynch last year, they get a talent that is a big step up.

30. NE Patriots CB/Justin Miller- Clem

With Law getting more fragile every year, Troy Brown can't be expected every week.

31. Philadelphia Eagles MLB/Lance Mitchell- Ok

Hoping to fortify the D up the middle.

32. Pittsburgh Steelers CB/Carlos Rogers- Aub

If the D has a spot to improve, CB is it.

R2

33. Philadelphia (Mia) WR/Mark Clayton- Ok

Pinkston is too inconsistent, and TO is another year older.

34. Carolina Panthers OT/Mike Munoz- Tenn

He would be an improvment on the right side.

35. SF 49ers CB/Jim Williams- Va T

A bigger cover corner in a spot that is a question mark for a variety of reasons

36. Oakland Raiders QB/Andrew Walter- ArizState

Could fit Turner's O (if he's still there.)

37. Cleveland Browns DE/Erasmus James- Wisc

Looking for speed at DE, with the uncertainty around Brown.

38. GB Packers (NO) LB/Kevin Burnett- Tn

They've had some serious inconsistency from their LB's.

39. Arizona Cardinals S/Thomas Davis- GA

Continued fortification on the D, with the former SB MVP not having worked out.

40. Tennessee Titans LB/Barrett Rudd- Neb

A spot they've had difficulties with, given that injuries have played a big part.

41. Buffalo Bills OG/David Baas- Mich

Better protection for Losman.

42. Chicago Bears TE/Joel Dressen- Col State

Trying to solidify the O, now that they've picked a WR.

43. NO Saint (Wash) S/Donte Nicholson- Ok

Continued answers in the secondary.

44. KC Chiefs WR/Fred Gibson- GA

They ca't go long without addressing this area.

45. Dallas Cowboys S/Ernest Shazor- Mich

Would probably complete the best young secondary anywhere.

46. Cinci Bengals LB/Abdul Hodge- Iowa

A big LB that adds more toughness.

47. Tampa Bay Bucs OT/Andrew Whitworth- LSU

Surely Gruden won't continue to rely upon the geezers.

48. St. Louis Rams DE/Dan Cody- Ok

After Little gets suspended for the entire year.

49. Houston Texans OG/C.J. Brooks- Mary

More strength up the middle for the OL.

50. Detroit Lions S/Jamaal Brimmer-UNLV

An improvment for the secondary.

51. GB Packers QB/Aaron Rodgers- Cal

They feel compelled to find the future, being that it's staring them in the face.

52. Seattle Seahawks OTWesley Britt- Alab

Will Jones be around next year?

53. Jacksonville Jaguars DE/Justin Tuck- ND

Plays the run very well, can take over for Spicer.

54. Minnesota Vikings CB/Antwaun Rogers-Purd

Can still use help in the secondary.

55. Baltimore Ravens C/OG Richie Incognito-

Parts of the OL are getting older.

56. New York Giants MLB/Channing Crowder-FL

Could use the help at MLB.

57. Indianapolis Colts MLB/Odell Thurman Georgia

Despite the character concern, an improvment over Rob Morris is needed.

58. Denver Broncos TE/Alex Smith- Stan

Still looking for a partial replacment to Sharpe.

59. San Diego Chargers DE/Adell Duckett- Tx Tech

Adding to the edge on D.

60. New York Jets LB/Chad Greenway-Iowa

Solidifying the LB core.

61. Atlanta Falcons RB/Ciatrick Fason-Florida

Dunn won't last forever.

62. Pittsburgh Steelers DT/Santonio Thomas Miami

A more viable BU to Hampton.

63. New England Patriots CB/Fab Washington-Neb

Further depth in the secondary.

64. Philadelphia Eagles RB/Cedric Houston- Tn

Could pair up well with Westbrook.

OK, I have quite a few comments about this draft. You have three running backs going in the top ten. When is the last time this happened? Yet surprisingly enough, Aaron Rodgers falls to the Packers..... IN THE SECOND ROUND!?!?!? I mean, you have to take value into account, and the guy has been regarded by many to be even better than Leinhart.

Also, not every Miami TE has to go in the first round. Just because it has happened the last two years does not mean it will be a recurring trend. Everett is a nice step down from a Shockey or Winslow.

I can't imagine the Saints taking a corner after having traded for McKenzie in the first.

Also, hasn't Seattle's problem at linebacker been injury? I am not very familiar with their roster, but I thought they had a solid starting MLB who is out for the season. I could be wrong here.

I will say, I like your perspective on the Bears. WR and TE are definitely the positions I think they should look towards in this draft, although I think Jamaal Brown would be hard to pass in the first.

I got news for anybody doing a mock draft for the Texans. Think defense, as in MLB, CB, and NG. Casserly is on record saying 2005 would be another draft for the defense.

I just dont see us taking a Quarterback in round 1. I am pretty sure the front office believes in Rattay and I hope we snag Antrel Rolle and start him opposite Plummer and move Rumph to Safety.

If Fason declares which most signs say he isnt coming...he would not go this high...Wynn has more talent than Fason but Fason is a harder worker that needs another year in school to go this high

We will see what DJ says then week

It will be his first mock using the standings from next year (because he likes to wait until each team has had a bye)

And I am sure the Mike (mouse for those of you that don't know) will have one for us, too

GO TO FOOTBALL.COM

Week 10 is the week that will tell the story

i do like most of this mock draft, exept this...aaron rodgers in my opinion will be the #1 pick if leinart stayys at USC, but most likely he'll enter the draft and rodgers should be atleast the second, maybe third QB taken....definatly a top 10 pick
