Steelers, Odell Thurman is talking about staying in college and getting a degree and getting pressure from family to STAY.....that and he has been a disappointment this season....and he has quite a rap sheet as well....

DJ, I'd rather see the Jets take Justin Miller from Clemson....they need a playmaker in the secondary

sorry, got a few more

if Ronnie Brown falls to the Steelers, do you think they will take him- the BUS and Duce are getting up in age

and what do you think of Marcus McNeill the OT from Auburn?
Ronnie Brown can play both RB and FB position He can catch on the run and has speed . Brown would be perfect for the Steelers

3 questions DJ,

1- Where is Haloti Ngata the DT from Oregon

2- What with Marcus Spears, in one mock he is in the top 10, in another is below 25, what's up with that?

3- has Marlin Jackson ready moved up that far, I have seen him in the top 10 in 3 other mocks, I had him behind Justin Miller and Corey Webster
Ngata is a first round possibility but I think his value is a bit inflated right now...could move way up because he will impress with strength numbers at combine.

Spears....a nice 3-4 fit...I think there are more talented ends out there but he would just seem to git Houston better...very inconsistent player...hard to get a read on where he will go....

Jackson moving up...I think again for certain teams...has height and expereince at various positions...does not have the upside of say a Justin Miller but he seems to be a "safer" choice

The Steelers tendency under Cowher is to draft a RB late on the first day or the second day. Duce should be expected as the starter next year. Verron Haynes is a ? with his injury status yearly and Fast Willie, Dante Brown bringing up the depth chart. I do wonder if Bettis will retire.

I really believe a lot hangs on if Plax and Bell are extended.

The direction the Steelers go in i think is dependent on so many things.

Kirschke and the Diesel as possible replacements if Kimo decides to hang it up.

I wouldn't know where to begin with this team as certain players may be able to fill starting positions like with what happened this year.

Even the TE with Riemersma(could be a cap casulty),Tuman and the project Krenchick you could argue as being workable. The amount of weapons to give Ben should play a factor in this draft.

I do hope certain players drop making it easier on who to pick.

Nixon what direction you see the FO going?

5(5). Tennessee Titans

Derrick Johnson Linebacker Texas

While the need for a quality defensive tackle may be the biggest hole to fill, passing on an athletic talent like Derrick Johnson proves to be too much for the Titans. Johnson will be an immediate starter and he and Keith Bullock would be the most athletic linebacker tandem in the AFC.

6(6). Dallas Cowboys (From Buffalo)

*Rodrique Wright Defensive Tackle Texas

It has been evident watching the Cowboys that changes are needed all over the defensive side of the ball. With a pair of first round picks I think the Cowboys might look towards cornerback or wide receiver later. The other possibility here is the Cowboys take Mike Williams and get a defensive player at #10.

10(10). Dallas Cowboys

Marlin Jackson Cornerback Michigan

The Cowboys always seem to need corners or draft players in the secondary very high. The Cowboys could try to trade down and get a safety if Darren Woodson is unable to resume his career after his back surgery.
My two favorite teams and 3 good picks. That on dude's name is BullUck, ah but almost everyone misspells it lol.

I don't know where he gets the idea that the Titans need a quality DT, has he seen Al Haynesworth at all this year? He's had a Pro Bowl year. The Titans sometimes use Kevin Carter at DT, and the 2 young guys, Randy Starks and Rein Long have been playing well. Especially Starks, he's looking like a steal as a 3rd rounder last year.

I can see LB being a top priority. Only thing is DJ is weakside and so is Bulluck, but they may be able to make it work out somehow. Peter Sirmon may need to move back to MLB after he recovers from the ACL.

OT may be the biggst need. Hopkins and Miller are old and costing big bucks. Even their back up Mathews costs like 1 mil and it's rumored that he's going to retire.

Obviously Dallas needs a real starter beside Glover, but it's hard to say if that's more of a need than a pure speed rusher. The Dallas front 4 may be the slowest in the league, and I can't believe Wiley would be allowed back on the team.

Dixon sux, and Roy needs to play SS. If Woody has to retire, I'd say FS is more important than CB. But is there any real difference maker at FS out there?

vikes would be better off taking a safety. klensasser will be back next year and if we resign jermaine wiggins we will be fine at that position.

vikes need safety more than linebacker. brian russel is a free agent (not that he is any good anyway) and chavous is just to slow and hasnt been playin at the same level as last year. vikes linebackers are young and make mistakes but they should improve with experience. the only linebacker that i would want to trade up for is derrick johnson and we would have to give up a lot to move up that much, i would rather get a linebacker in free agency.

Sounds good....yes I am glad you think Starks is playing well...he was my #1 DT in the draft last year ahead of Tommie Harris and some of the other big names. In fact my #2 was Darnell Dockett and he is playing well...although Harris is playing better than I expected out of the gate.
