I was just wondering. After the top 2 WR's in Williams and Edwards, the others, including Williamson, dont seem to be true #1 WR's.
I was wondering what WR's might come out next year that can be #1's. there was one player in Ohio State i keep reading alot about.
But will there be any like Andre Johnson and Chalres rogers 2 years ago or Roy, Reggie, and Larry last year?

Youre thinking of Santonio Holmes of OSU. Hes very fast, has pretty good hands, is shifty, but lacks great size. It doesnt look great at the position, though. Martin Nance is a big athletic guy but I didnt get to see him much considering he was injured basically all last year and all I saw was their bowl game vs Louisville two years ago. Ben Obomanu is very fast, but Im not really high on him. There are more talented juniors: Moore, Holmes, Caldwell, and Greg Lee that may be inclined to leave early due to the fact that the senior wr corps is weak. Besides that next years draft class is very strong.
Lee could be a big riser, another year with Palko will allow him to become one of the best college WRs in the game.

Santonio Holmes? He's a solid all-around player, can play SE/FL/KR/PR, but has been playing a lot of SE due to Ginn. If he's any good next year he might come out, and I see no reason he can't be a solid #2 WR.

Another solid #2 in next year's draft could be Steve Smith of USC....He's alot like Keary Colbert, but faster....awesome hands. That's all depending if he comes out though.....
Two years from now....Dwayne Jarrett will be the man at WR in the draft....

Why can't Clayton be a #1 from this year's group? Some say he's the most polished WR this draft. This guy looks similar to Derrick Mason to me.

Thanks guys.
but are there any that are clear #1's. What i mean is 2 years ago everyone knew andre Johnson and Chalres Rogers would be stud WR's. Andre is a top 10 WR now and Rogers probaly would be too if her werent getting hurt so much.
Last year everyone loved fitzgerald, roy Williams, Reggie Williams, Lee Evans, and clayton. All turned out to be stud WR's except Reggie who IMO, will get better.
This year there is Mike Williams and Edwards. both are solid but arent as good as those WR's last year or 2 years ago.
What im wondering is, will next years class have studs like 2 years ago when we had Andre and Charles or will it be pretty weak like this year? Or will it be full of studs like last year? We knew in advance that Andre and Charles would be great, same with Larry, Roy, Reggie, and Lee Evans. But i havent heard much hype about next years class.

If you have to watch one WR, make it Calvin Johnson at Georgia Tech. the guy is unreal.
My personal Favis Mike Hass. the guy is a reception machine and you gotta keep the dream alive for the white boy. He was unstoppable in the Oregon game this year.
MArtin Nance should be a high draft pick if he can come back healthy and Demarrio Williams looks like an intriguing reciever but there doesn't look like there's that much talent at the position.
I'll be interested to see what Wisconsin's duo can do next year.
