It looks like the 49ers will take a QB at #1. The Dolphins at #2 appear poised to take a RB, though which RB it will be is unknown. Smart money says it'll be Ronnie Brown, but things can change between now and the draft.
With the Browns having multiple needs (DE, OT, CB), I could easily see them trading down from #3. And no, I'm not going to try projecting any possibilities on here. I've gone back and forth on who I think they'll take if they stay at #3; for now I'm going with WR.

The Bears' signing of Muhsin Muhammad makes their decision at #4 quite interesting. However, Muhammad is 32, and I still see the Bears giving serious consideration to a WR at the #4 spot. If you figure in the typical time required for a WR to adjust to the NFL (by their third season), that would mean the WR taken this year would be potentially breaking through in 2007 -- when Muhammad will be 34, and quite possibly a cap casualty once again.

Some important names to note as far as key underclassmen who are going back to school: Matt Leinart, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Mathias Kiwanuka and Ahmad Brooks. Leinart would have likely gone #1 had he declared for the draft, but he decided to return to USC to attempt to earn a third straight national title.

Is Williamson a real top 10 prospect? Or is he there just because Edwards and Williams are gone?

Williamson produced big numbers and has bigtime speed. On paper he is worth a high pick. I wouldn't spend a top 10, but someone might.

I would worry about his frame and if he can do anything besides go deep. Will he catch over the middle? Will he block?

I wouldn't pick him that high.

I would add that Mark Clayton ran a sub-4.4 40 too. He is more polished than Williamson. Is Williamson worth more just because he is couple inches taller? Na not in my book.

Thanks for the info, I would prefer Williamson to Clayton at 18 if they were both there.
