your comment about them signing the cheapest player is absolutely untrue. i'll dig up the quote directly from mike nolan where he says (i am paraphrasing) that they will not make this pick purely on economics.

Always between 6-8 players.....one I saw slip the most in a draft I have covered was Kenyatta Walker...slipped to 14th the year he was drafted and had a long wait in the green room.
What, you expect a coach, or GM or owner, to come right out and say "we're taking whoever's cheapest?" That info comes from inside guys who know what the team is really thinking. NFL teams do not disclose their evaluations/thoughts/methods publicly.

I remember Jimmy Kennedy having a little wait in 2003 as well....I think he went 12th or 13th....

he was the last out of the green room, but it was hardly a long wait. That was a speed round.
