NFL | Incognito Injury Update - from www.KFFL.com
Thu, 14 Apr 2005 07:23:52 -0700
Neil Stratton, of Inside the League, reports NFL Draft prospect C Richie Incognito (knee), from Nebraska, suffered what was described as a patellar subluxation to his knee at the NFL Combine. He then recently aggravated the injury during his first workout since the combine. He was participating in a push-pull drill April 6 when he went down in pain, clutching his knee. The injury was not a torn ACL, which was first feared. He was able to improve enough to make visits to NFL teams and the injury is not expected to have any lingering effects. Sources have noted eight weeks of complete rest and rehabilitation should have him back at full health.

i wish him a full recovery and hope this allows him to slip to day two so the bears can snatch him up.

Incognito seems like a Raider to me, and his nasty attitude could get him drafted by us. The talent is there, hes intense, and he made Jake Grove (current Raider and big tough agressive guy at VT) look like a ballerina according to one NFL scout. One interesting thing I read about him is that in addition to his good athleticism for someone his size and strength, his anger and out of control play made be a result of steroid use, though he did not test positive. Personally Id want Al Davis to take a chance on him. Good to see hes healthy.

incognito initially played LT at nebraska where he recorded the second highest number of pancake blocks in school history as a freshman. most teams project him as a guard, which is a position of need for the bears.

I think the Steelers will gobble up Incognito, maybe as high as the third, because they could use a center/guard type for depth and to take over for Hartings soon, and because they have a taste for funny names.

I wouldnt mind if the Eagles were able to get him, possibly in the late 3rd. Of course, with his attitude problems AR would never take him but i have to say he would be an improvement over honey buns.
