NEW YORK JETS

RD1- Travis Johnson DT Florida State
RD2- Bryant McFadden CB Florida State
RD3- Ryan Moats RB Louisiana Tech
RD4- Joel Dressen TE Colorado State
(TRADE UP) RD5- Jamaal Brimmer S UNLV

JUST GOT DONE WITH A MOCK ON ANOTHER BOARD WHERE THE JETS WERE MY TEAM. THIS IS WHAT I FINISHED WITH.

I TRADED UP IN TO THE EARLY 5TH TO SELECT JAMAAL BRIMMER, PARTLY BECAUSE I REALLY WANTED TO GET HIM, AND PARTLY BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO WAIT AROUND ANYMORE, LOL.

I like it. Travis Johnson answers a huge need, and B-Mac is a physical corner that is a good tackler. I would rather see TE answered around rd. 3 as opposed to RB, but all in all, I like those picks.

KEVIN EVERETT WAS REALLY THE ONLY TE WORTH TAKING IN THE 3RD, BUT I THOUGHT MOATS WAS ALOT BETTER VALUE.

PLUS THE BACKS WERE GOING EARLIER THEN EXPECTED. BEST BACK I COULD HAVE GOTTEN LATE 4TH WAS PROBABLY KAY JAY HARRIS.

AND IMO MOATS/DRESSEN IS ALOT BETTER THEN EVERETT/HARRIS.

Brimmer in the fifth? Has his stock really dropped that far?

I was just about to say that to. I guess his Senior Bowl workouts were bad.

Not really a complaint, dude. I understand things work differently once names start falling. I'm in the minority as far as where I think that the Jets should avoid taking a RB until at least day 2, unless a huge steal falls into their lap. Moats was a nice college player but I am not sure how he pans out at the next level. Kevin Everett might have been a better pick, or the Jets could have tried to shore up a tackle to replace McKenzie in case Adrian Jones doesn't pan out.
