Great Blue North Report, on the guys that aren't on the list

Three more names on drfat eligibility list...* The NFL has released the official list of undeclassmen who applied for eligibity to the 2006 draft. The league's official list has 48 names, includes all the usual suspects, but also has three players which have not showed up on other lists to date. The three are Indiana State RB Cornell Johnson, Texas Tech WR Marquis Johsnon and DE Bobby Payne of Middle Tennessee State. All three in fact have pro size, but none has been more than a fringe player to date in their college careers. The Red Raiders' Johnson, for example, is listed at 6-1, 225, and reportedly has 4.4 speed, but he averaged under 6 yards per reception this fall; meanwhile, the 6-4, 286-pound Payne had but 5 tackles in 10 games for the Blue Raiders this season, while the 6-0, 215-pound Johnson of Indiana State had less than 300 yards rushing this season. At the same time, neither Abilene Christian junior CB Danieal Manning or Texas College junior DE Mike Williams are on the NFL's list although they both made announcements about their plans to enter this year's draft. Indeed, we are pretty sure that Manning is in the 2006 draft class as he has an agent and in fact played in the Cactus Bowl earlier this month. We'll follow up and see what we can find about these two players status. Same for former South Carolina RB Demetris Summers; former Colorado WR and KR Jeremy Bloom, neither of whom played football this fall, but are known to be entering the draft, but are also not on the offial list, along with AFL WR Troy Bergeron and JC DE Roderkus Wright, who aren't there either.

I doubt all those players leave Tennessee. Some need to have better senior seasons if they just want to get drafted.

they aren't happy with the coaching change and probably only one of your talented WR is going to leave, just don't know which one at this point

So many rumors get started up around draft time, there's no telling how those guys really feel. Players rarely leave UT early, and like I said, none of these guys have had stellar seasons to leave on.

I'm justing saying what I'm hearing, don't get me wrong I want all those guys back
